(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Commissioners approved a contract with Mainelli Wagner and Associates to conduct the 2015 bridge inspections on 67 Nemaha County bridges when they met Wednesday. The cost for each inspection is $120.
Commissioners also awarded a bid for culvert materials to Metal Culverts in an amount of $40,677. It was the lowest of four bids received for the materials. Nemaha County representative to the Five Rivers RC & D, Mary Kruger attended the meeting to present the annual report. For fiscal year 2015-16, Five Rivers RC D is requesting funding form Nemaha County in the amount of $1,450.
Scott Licktieg submitted the high bid for a 2006 Chevy Tahoe Nemaha County is selling. Licktieg submitted a bid of $501. In other action Commissioners approved a proclamation designating May as Community Action Month.
A District #1 dump truck and other equipment was designated as surplus and will now be advertised for sale by sealed bid. An application to use Nemaha County Property August 14th and 15th by the Auburn Fire Department was approved with the stipulation the necessary paperwork for insurance is given to the County Clerk prior to the event.
