(KLZA)-- 24-year old Jacob W. Bennett of Shubert appeared in Richardson County District Court recently on a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault in the third degree.
Bennett is charged with knowingly or intentionally impeding normal breathing or circulation of blood of another person by pressure to the throat on count one. On the misdemeanor charge he is accused if intentionally causing bodily injury to another.
Bennett entered a plea of not guilty to the charges and a jury trial has been scheduled for July 7. A $5,000 personal recognizance bond is required for his release.
