(KNZA)--A Hiawatha home is considered a total loss following an early morning house fire.
Public Information Officer Jordanne Shockley says the Hiawatha Fire Department was paged out shortly after 5:30 Friday morning to 310 South 8th Street. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Fire Chief Gary Shear said "the cause of the fire is unknown, but will be investigated by the state Fire Marshal."
No injuries were reported.
Assisting were the Robinson and Horton Fire Departments along with Town and County EMS, and Brown County Squad 48.
