(KLZA)-- The Johnson-Brock Board of Education met in executive session for nearly two hours last week to protect public interest and prevent needless injury to the reputation of an individual. No action was taken following the closed session.
Preparations continue for the AdvanceED visit February 23 – 25. The final evaluation will be presented at 4 p-m on Wednesday the 25th.
Superintendent Jeff Koehler said there could be 30 kindergartners for the 2015-16 school year. Splitting the class and hiring additional para-educators was discussed. Koehler also noted discussion is ongoing about upgrades to lighting and the booth at the football field.
The price for the summer Drivers Education program will be $250 per student. Tim Newman will serve as instructor at a rate of $150 per student.
The Johnson-Brock Board also approved renewing membership to the Nebraska Association of School Boards for the 2015-16 school year at a cost of $2,831.
