(KTNC)-- The finishing touches are being put on a new addition to the Johnson-Brock school in Johnson. School Superintendent Jeff Koehler says they hope to have the addition ready to use by the first of the year, as construction continues.
He says the new commons area was opened up two weeks ago, in time for a volleyball match and workers are putting the finishing touches on the new classrooms. Koehler says they were waiting for cabinets to be delivered early this wee.
After the cabinets are installed, Koehler says they'll complete final details on a punch list, with the goal to have those items complete by the middle of November. He says they hope to then be able to move into the new classrooms over the Christmas holiday break.
Koehler says they're looking forward to the end of the construction process and being able to use the new addition. He says the Johnson-Brock seniors are looking forward to being able to use the new addition, as they weren't sure initially that the construction would be finished before they graduate.
The addition to the Johnson-Brock School includes a new science classroom, media center and commons area.
