(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Commissioners voted unanimously last week to appoint Mallory Lempka to complete the unexpired term of County Assessor.
Jana Smith resigned in January due to health reasons.
Lempka, from Auburn has worked in the Nemaha County Assessors Office for two years. Lempka’s appointment was recommended by a three-person committee, that included Treasurer Pat Holtzman, Appraiser John Fritz and Commissioners Dennis Wittmann.
Lempka’s will serve until January, 2019.
