(KMZA)--The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a suspicious incident at the St. George Elementary School Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff Greg Riat says two 12-year-old students were taking items to the recycling trailer on the north side of the school shortly before 3 when they reported coming into contact with an older male at the trailer.
Riat says one of the students believed the unknown man had questionable contact with him while inside the trailer, and may have been trying to abduct them.
The two students left the trailer and went back into the school without further incident.
Riat says the sheriff’s office would like to speak with the man. He is described as having gray hair, balding in back in the back of the head, with a white beard. He was wearing a white and black vertical striped shirt and blue jeans. The vehicle he was driving was described as a red 4-door Chevrolet.
Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the older male is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office.
