(KNZA)--The field of candidates vying for city and school board positions in Jackson County during the April 7th general election has been set following Tuesday’s filing deadline.
There will be a contested race for a position on the Holton City Commission where incumbent Tim Morris is being challenged by Blair Wagner.
There will also be contested races for three of the four open positions on the Royal Valley Board of Education.
Raphael Wahwassuck is challenging incumbent James O’Toole for position 1.
Incumbent Pat Tuck and Jason Klotz are vying for position 3.
And three candidates are seeking position 7, member at large. They include Cindy Broxterman, Elizabeth Long-Smith and Barbara Walder-Little. The position is currently held by Rusty Douglas who didn’t seek re-election.
