(KAIR)--Fundraisers have been established following the reported death of a young Atchison child Monday as the result of what's identified as an accident in the home.
Fire Chief Mike McDermed says his crews were called to a residence located at 1017 North 13th Street during the noon hour. "We received a page to respond for a possible dresser that had fallen on a two-year-old. Upon our arrival, they found the paramedic there adminstering aid to the patient."
The child is identified as Allie Jade Rebant, the 2-year-old daughter of Nicholas and Sara Rebant.
The Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, in Atchison, is in charge of the arrangements, with services scheduled for 2:00 Friday afternoon at the First Christian Church in Atchison.
