(KLZA)-- On a 2-1 vote, Richardson County Commissioners voted to uphold the decision of Sheriff Randy Houser to terminate Deb Raney as a dispatcher-jailer for the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Houser showed the Board a jail surveillance video during Tuesday’s meeting which depicted the actions of Raney while on duty in which the Sheriff based his decision to terminate her employment.
Commission Chairman David Sickel cast a nay vote with Commissioners Jim Davidson and Jim Standerford voting to support the Sheriff.
Following a discussion with Ben Steffen and Russell Snethen of Richardson County Rural Water District #1, the Board offered a proposal to pay half the cost of relocating the waterline for the Humboldt Northwest bridge project.
Commissioners also approved a supplemental agreement with Speece-Lewis Engineers Inc. to perform additional consultation work on the Preston North and South hard surfacing project.
Board members reviewed an agreement with Prochaska & Associates for architectural services for the construction of the Richardson County Law Enforcement Center. Chairman David Sickel will contact Don Prochaska to review the agreement and inform them of some changes that need to be made to the agreement.
