Effingham Native Gains New Role

(KAIR)--An Effingham native has been named President of Angus Genetics, Incorporated and Association Director of performance programs.

That word from a press release issued by the American Angus Association, which says that Dr. Dan Moser has been selected to fill those roles.

That follows a unanimous decision of the Angus Genetics Inc. Board of Directors.

Moser brings more that 15-years of experience in genetic research and education to the Association's more than 25,000 members and their commercial partners.

AGI , a division of the American Angus Association, is headquartered in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and is a leading provider of genetic analysis and development in the beef cattle business.

In his new position, Moser will oversee the organization's genetic research and development efforts among other duties.

For the past 6-years, Moser served as the faculty coordinator for the K-State Purebred Beef Unit, and as the breed association liasion for the NCBA Carcass Merit Project, working directly with 13 breed organizations.

He's also served as director of the National Beef Cattle Evaluation Consortium, among other roles of leadership.

Moser, who has two sons, Justin and Ryan, and one daughter, Allison, with his wife, Lisa, remains active in his family's cattle operation.
