(KAIR)--A longtime Atchison firefighter has said goodbye.
Fire Chief Mike McDermed says Firefighter/EMT William Seager has ended his career after 20-years of service. “We hate to see Bill go,” McDermed tells MSC News.
Seager's final day on the job was Sunday.
McDermed says Seager's position is already filled. “We've already got a new individual on. His name is Josh Smith from the Effingham area. We're looking forward to having Josh here and hope he stays as long as Bill did.”
McDermed says Smith is now on the job, having worked his first 24-hour shift on Sunday.
