(KTNC) - The Johnson-Brock School Board approved the negotiated agreement with the Johnson-Brock Education Association for the next school year during their meeting Monday afternoon. The agreement includes an increase of $1200 to the base salary, to $32,500.
Superintendent Jeff Koehler says a change in the district’s insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield would allow those covered under the policy to set up a Health Savings Account beginning in 2015.
In the only other action item on the agenda, the board approved the annual financial audit for the 2012-2013 Fiscal Year as prepared by Dana F. Cole and Company.
Koehler also says the Johnson-Brock School District hopes to send out bid packages and specifications for the Johnson-Brock building addition on December 20. He says the project was set back about three weeks when the architect that was working on the project took a job with another firm.
A new architect is working on the project, but it's taken time for him to get up to speed on the project's details.
Koehler says they had hoped to get the bid documents out by December 1st. He says they still hope to begin construction on the building addition this spring.
