(KNZA)--A former Jackson County employee accused of stealing $16,000 in county funds waives her preliminary hearing and is expected to enter into a plea agreement.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 40-year-old Janette Fund, of Delia, was bound over Thursday to Jackson County District Court for arraignment on November 15th on 90 felony counts of making false information and 90 counts of theft. Miller said a plea agreement is likely in the case.
Fund was arrested September 16th following a nearly two-month investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Fund was employed as an administrative assistant with the Jackson County Noxious Weed, Landfill and Recycling Department from April 2011 until July of this year.
She is currently free on bond.
