(KTNC) - You can experience the Steamboat Trace Trail in a unique way this weekend. Five Rivers RC-and-D and the Nemaha Natural Resources District are teaming up to offer people a chance to experience the Trail aboard the Nemaha County Handi-bus.
The hour-long tours are scheduled Saturday, with two times available – at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m – beginning at the Brownville Theatre parking lot.
The bus will journey down the trail to the Honey Creek Bridge, with stops along the way to take in the flora and fauna and the view of the Missouri River.
Nemaha NRD Manager Bob Hilske will provide a history of the trail and the river.
There is a charge of $10 per person for the tours and there are a limited number of seats available. Contact either Mary Kruger or Five Rivers R-C-and-D at 402-869-2355 to reserve a seat.
