(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners approved the annual report to be submitted to the Nebraska Board of Classifications and Standards from Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert when they met Tuesday.

Huppert also provided updates on various road and bridge projects underway in the County.

Larry Rexrorth met with Commissioners requesting repairs to 707 Road and 637 Avenue according to a 1993 agreement when a bridge was replaced on this road.  Huppert said he would inspect the road and assess the problems and determine what repairs are needed.

Emergency Management Agency Director Jim Gerweck and Deputy Director Brian Dixon presented documents for the Emergency Management Performance Grant funding from the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency for the next fiscal year.  Commissioners voted to approve the grant funding sub-recipient agreement in the amount of $55,000.

Discussion was also held on the purchase of a vehicle for the Emergency Management Department.

Noxious Weed Superintendent Joe Wittwer reviewed inspection reports received from the State of Nebraska Bureau of Plant Industry documenting uncontrolled noxious weed infestations in three different parts of Richardson County.  Wittwer will notify landowners.

A letter from the Village of Stella regarding distribution of motor vehicle taxes was also reviewed.
