(KTNC) - Two youngsters were injured in an accident between a car and an all-terrain vehicle in Big Lake Saturday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Polaris ATV was northbound on Banbury Road at 8:45 Saturday evening, when it collided with a southbound Hyundai at a curve in the road.
A passenger on the ATV, 10-year-old Nicholas Cowles of Overland Park, Kansas, was ejected from the vehicle and landed directly south of the ATV. He sustained what were described as moderate injuries. The driver of the ATV, 12-year-old Jayden Aldana of Falls City, sustained minor injuries.
Both Cowles and Aldana were transported by ambulance to Community Medical Center in Falls City. The driver of the car, Megan Wright of Springfield, Missouri, was not injured.
