(KAIR) -- A Jefferson County man will head to jury trial on charges related to an alleged domestic incident with a firearm.
J.C. McPike entered a "not guilty" plea Thursday in Jefferson County District Court on the charges of aggravated criminal threat, a level five felony, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A jury trial is set for August 13th.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says McPike allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm in mid-January during a domestic dispture at a residence on Washington Road, located in between Winchester and Nortonville.
Sheriff Jeff Herrig says a firearm was later seized by deputies.
McPike is free on bond.
