(KTNC) - As weather warms up this spring, Falls City area organizations can earn a bit of money while helping out at the Falls City Arboretum.
Gerald Hopp, with the Krumme Memorial Arboretum Work Group, says organizations – including youth, school, and church groups, and service clubs – can earn at least $100 in one day by helping with upkeep at the arboretum.
The work could include mowing grass, sweeping sidewalks, raking leaves, mulching, and maintenance.
Hopp says it’s hoped that volunteers can put in at least two hours, with a base donation of $100 that may be more depending on the type of work done and time needed.
The money is being made available through The Richardson Foundation.
Groups interested in volunteering can contact Gerald Hopp at 402-245-2850 or e-mail gkhopp@sentco.net.
The date and time for groups to be at the property will vary each month.
