K-4 Bridge Repair Project to Begin in Jeff Co.
On Monday ( April 1st ) a project will begin to reconstruct the wing walls on a reinforced concrete bridge located on K-4 highway in Jefferson County just north of the 150th Street intersection in Valley Falls, weather permitting.
Crews will work during daylight hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some occasional Saturday work.
Work will take place on the highway right of way and will not impact the travelling public.
Reece Construction Company, Inc. of Scandia is the primary contractor on the project with a total contract cost of nearly $68,000.
The scheduled completion date for the bridge repair project is late April 2013, weather permitting.
