USD 115 Board States Intent to Non-Renew 2 Teachers Contracts
( KMZA )-- The Nemaha Central USD 115 board of education during a special meeting Wednesday evening approved a resolution of intent to non-renew the contracts of two non-tenured teachers for the 2013-2014 school year.
They include B & B Junior-Senior High teacher Julie Kohake and Nemaha Valley Elementary and Middle School teacher Lisa Baumgartner.
The action is being taken due to budgetary reasons.
Board member Dave Clements cast the lone no vote against approval of the resolution.
The board also accepted two resignations. They include the retirement resignation of Jeanne Jacobson, who teaches family and consumer science at the Nemaha Valley High School, along with Amy Mueting, who teachers special education at Frankfort.
Both resignations are effective at the end of the current school year.
