(KAIR) -- A rural Atchison man has been sent to prison for his role in an armed burglary and kidnapping in the county last August.
Reagan Kinzer was given a total of 12 months in prison Friday in Atchison County District Court on the charge of burglary.
He also was given concurrent jail sentences on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and theft and 24 months of post-release probation.
Kinzer was arrested in late August by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department in connection with the break-in into the Tony Baker residence at 9249 Ottawa Road.
His brother, Stephen, then threatened Baker after he returned home at gunpoint, which aided in Stephen Kinzer’s escape, where the Sheriff’s Department says Reagan was waiting nearby with a getaway car.
Authorities discovered the Kinzer’s 48 hours after the incident.
Stephen Kinzer was sentenced in December for this case and other charges to 169 months in prison.
