(KAIR) -- Atchison Police have located the second suspect in connection to a burglary of an Atchison convenience store Tuesday night.
A 16-year-old male juvenile was arrested at his residence Wednesday on the charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
He and 21-year-old John Portis of Atchison allegedly broke into Quick Stop East.
However, a witness tip was able to interrupt the burglary and send the suspects fleeing with no items found missing.
Portis was apprehended by police a few blocks away.
Portis faces an additional charge of contributing to a child’s misconduct and remains in Atchison County Jail on 20 thousand dollars bond while the teen was taken to juvenile detention.
