(KMZA)--It's good news for USD 380 where the recently implemented district daycare facility creates a new opportunity.
The district, in recent days, has been approved as an Early Childhood apprenticeship sight for the State of Kansas through Highland Community College.
John Whetzal, Principal of the Centralia Schools, says the status realizes a goal developed when the daycare became a reality(Play Audio)
Whetzal says the results of the approval are already beginning to be seen(Play Audio)
Another advantage cited by Whetzal is the fact that the classes can be taken at district facilities(Play Audio)
Additionally, the possible expansion of state approved financial assistance, related to the program, is under review(Play Audio)
Whetzal says anyone with interest in the program, or who have any questions, should call him at 785-857-3324.
