(KAIR) -- A theft arrest of a 21-year-old Atchison man during Black Thursday sales leads to more charges alleged to have occurred the night before.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says John Portis was arrested during the shopping melee at Wal Mart.

It was while Portis remained in jail on that charge when investigators learned of new allegations against him.

Portis remains in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
