(KNZA)--Funeral services remain pending for the 59-year-old beloved Hiawatha resident killed October 29th when the pick-up he was in collided with a train in rural Hiawatha.
Known for his charitable ways, and a love of motorcycles, Therman Turner, affectionately dubbed, and better known as Tee, often combined the two, rallying other area riders together as a way to raise funds for varying causes, assisting those in need.
Meanwhile, a memorial account for Turner has been established at Citizens State Bank in Hiawatha, where donations are now being collected.
18-year-old Veronica Hogle, of Hiawatha, was also in the pick-up truck that the Kansas Highway Patrol says failed to yield at the railroad crossing, just West of Kestrel Road.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, in Hiawatha.
The highway patrol continues their investigation into the tragedy, and remains unable to say who was behind the wheel of the pick-up when the fatal crash occurred.
