(KAIR) -- A 43-year-old rural McLouth man accused of threatening a woman at knife-point is in custody facing multiple charges.
Tony Cooley was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred in rural McLouth on October 2nd.
According to Undersheriff Bob Chartier, Cooley allegedly put a knife to the throat of a female acquaintance and threatened to kill her, bit her and yanked her false teeth out.
Cooley faces two counts of aggravated battery, and one count of each of criminal threat, robbery and misdemeanor theft.
County Attorney Jason Belveal says the robbery charge was filed because of the allegation of taking the false teeth from her person.
Cooley remains in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting a bond appearance.
