( KMZA )--The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating the theft of $30,000 in surveying equipment.
Sheriff Greg Riat says a surveyor working in the nine-thousand block of Junietta Road in rural Manhattan Friday had set up a Trimble R8 GPS system alongside the roadway.
Riat says the surveyor reported that at 11 o’clock that morning he walked away from it for about 10 minutes and upon returning discovered the equipment missing.
Taken were the GPS system, a Trimble HPB 450 radio, a tripod, marine battery, black plastic case and cable.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office at 785-457-3353.
