(KAIR) -- A local Effingham organization will be collecting socks in an effort help the needy at ACCHS football games.
The first “Sock it to ‘Em” sock drive will take Friday night.
The drive is being put on by Heartstrings.

She says this initiative is a simple way to help those less fortunate.

Heartstrings has teamed up with other efforts within USD 377, including the Backpack Buddies program and providing basic needs like coats and gloves.
There will be a second opportunity to donate your socks October 12th.
