(KAIR) -- A 44-year-old Denver, Colorado man accepts a plea deal on a drug charge prior to his scheduled preliminary hearing Wednesday in Atchison County District Court.
Victor May pled guilty to the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
In exchange, charges of no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
May was arrested in late May by Atchison Police following a traffic stop near Trinity Lutheran School on an alleged seatbelt violation as part of the “Click it or Ticket” initiative.
During the stop, officers found marijuana that was in a manner prepared for distribution.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 2nd.
He is currently out on 20 thousand dollars bond.
