What's your sign? Traffic Study Means Changes Along Hwy 159 Near Falls City Schools
(KTNC) - Some changes will be coming to the traffic signs posted along Highway 159 in Falls City. The changes come following a yearlong traffic study conducted by the Nebraska Department of Roads between Morton and Fulton Streets.
Falls City School District officials had requested the study, with the goal of slowing down traffic through the school zones.
The Department of Roads study identified several signs that could be added, moved, or removed altogether.
According to District 56 Superintendent Tim Heckenlively, notable changes include adding school crossing signs at both the Morton Street and Fulton Street crosswalks. All school-related signs through the area will also be updated to the current fluorescent yellow-green color.
The recommended changes also include removing the all the "No Parking" signs now located along Highway 159.
