(KLZA) The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer School Board met in special session Wednesday evening.
Superintendent Clint Kimbrough presented preliminary budget information to Board members during the meeting indicating a lower tax levy to patrons for the 2012-13 school year. ( play audio :13 seconds )
The 89-cent projected levy for the general fund is a nickel less than the last budget. Increased valuations of land allow for the decrease. Kimbrough is proposing a half-cent increase in the building fund.
In other business HTRS Board members learned the new press box, concession stand and restrooms at Power Field in Humboldt have been completed. It is now time to build steps from the new building down to the bleachers. ( play audio :30 seconds )
It was also noted during the special meeting that HTRS patrons need to be aware there could be delays in getting children home and even to school on buses while a number of highway projects are going on in the HTRS district. ( play audio :25 seconds )
