(KTNC) - The Falls City Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Falls City have hired a new Executive Director.
Main Street vice president Tony Brunette says a northwest Missouri native has been selected to lead the organizations. (play audio :22)
Barr is a 2004 graduate of Savannah High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Missouri State University and completed a Master of Arts in History, along with a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies, this spring at the University of Missouri St. Louis.
After completing his bachelor’s degree, Barr volunteered at a St. Joseph museum where he helped gain the Central Police Station a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. He will begin his duties as Executive Director of the Falls City Chamber and Main Street organizations in September after he completes a summer internship with the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office in Jefferson City.
