(KTNC) - Six people – including four children – were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 29 north of Craig Tuesday afternoon.
All six people were in a 2002 Ford Escape that the Missouri State Patrol says went off the southbound lanes two miles north of Craig at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday.  The vehicle overturned, went through a fence, and came to rest on its wheels in a cornfield off the west side of the highway.
The driver, 36-year-old Kyi Htoo of Kansas City, Kansas, was taken by ambulance to Community Hospital in Fairfax with minor injuries.  One of the five passengers in the vehicle, one-year-old Mike Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri, also escaped with minor injuries and was transported to the hospital in Fairfax.
Two young passengers, 3-year-old Ike Wilson and the 6-year-old son of the driver – whose name wasn’t released – were taken by helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.
The other two passengers, 26-year-old Kay Met and 3-year-old K Lee, both of Kansas City, Kansas, were transported by ambulance to the Fairfax Hospital with injuries described as moderate.
The Holt County Sheriff’s Department, Craig Fire Department, Craig First Responders, and Atchison-Holt Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
