Fans attending high school football games in Falls City this fall will notice a welcome upgrade at the stadium, thanks to a donation from the Falls City High Class of 1962.
The class presented District 56 with a donation totaling $20,235. It’s a contribution that Superintendent Tim Heckenlively says is one of the largest he can recall an alumni class making to the Falls City School District. (play audio :31 “50 years ago.”)
Heckenlively says most of the funds have been designated for a much needed upgrade at Jug Brown Stadium. (play audio :40 “31st of August.”)
Heckenlively says the remaining funds will go towards academics at Falls City High School. (play audio :16 “going to fund.”)
Members of the Class of 1962 were on hand Saturday afternoon for the presentation of a commemorative check during Saturday’s alumni weekend activities.
