Richardson County Commissioners Tuesday opened a number of sealed bids during their meeting.
Four bids were received for cranes. All were received for further review. Bids were also opened for an asphalt overlay project on a six mile stretch of a county road. Two company’s submitted bids which were received for further review.
The Board also opened a sealed bid for armor coating projects that will total just over 13 miles of county road. The only bid received was from Constructors Inc. of Lincoln. This bid was also accepted for further review.
Sheriff Randy Houser and Midwest Mobile representative Ernie Miller met with Commissioners to discuss options to improve the reception of the radio system for the Sheriff’s Department.
County Treasurer Connie Kennedy and Deputy Treasurer Michelle Kreifels and representatives from Multi-County Information and Programming Services met with Commissioners to discuss software programs available for the Treasurer’s office.
Five Rivers RC&D Council Executive Director Bobbie Meints presented the organizations annual report to the Board. Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert also met with Commissioners discussing a Highway Superintendent’s workshop he attended last week.
Commissioners paid the claims submitted with the exception of 21 submitted by Emergency Management Director Jim Gerweck that will be reviewed further.
