Missouri State Patrol Seeks Recruits

 The Missouri State Highway Patrol is encouraging qualified individuals to apply to become troopers.  The State Patrol is testing applicants now, and those who successfully complete training will be eligible to continue in the selection process for the class scheduled to begin training on July 1, 2013. 
 To be eligible, one needs at least 60 college credits, two years of federal active duty military service with an honorable discharge, or two years of POST certified, full-time, law enforcement experience when training begins.
 Test locations include at Troop H Headquarters in St. Joseph, where the test will be administered on August 11. 
 The testing procedure includes a written exam, a physical assessment, polygraph test, background investigation, and oral interview.  Applicants also must successfully complete a medical exam, psychological examination, and drug screening.
