The Southeast Community College Men’s Golf Team is in third place mid-way through the NJCAA Division 2 National Tournament. The Storm followed Monday’s 294 total with a 297 on Tuesday, putting them at plus-15 591 after two rounds of the four-round tournament. John A. Logan College is second at plus-13, and South Mountain Community College of Arizona leads the tournament at plus-2 578. Southeast was in a five-way tie for first following Monday’s first round.
Two Southeast golfers are among the top ten individuals. Caleb Harms and James Willis are among five golfers tied for 9th place at three-over-par 147. Calvin Freeman is one stroke back, in a five-way tie for 14th place at 148. Freeman shot a 73 Tuesday after a 75 in the opening round. Other individuals for Southeast include Mike Downey at eight over par 152, and Alex Overfelt with a 153 total through two rounds.
The National Tournament continues through Friday at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.
