Benedictine College will be adding a new tradition to the college, the nurse pinning ceremony.
Benedictine will graduate its first class of nurses from the new Nursing Program and the pinning ceremony is set for 1 p.m. on Friday, in the McAllister Board Room on the 4th Floor of Ferrell Academic Center.
During the ceremony, the new nurses will be presented with the pins by the faculty of the program.
In addition, Archbishop Joseph Naumann, of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, will administer the Blessing of the Hands in recognition of their vocation as caregivers.
