Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat baseball player, Jeff Eubank of Fort Pierce, Fla., earned his second Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) honor as released by the HAAC on Monday.
Eubank and Matt Netherton, the HAAC Pitcher of the Week from MidAmerica Nazarene, will represent the conference in the running for the NAIA Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, which will be released no later than Tuesday afternoon of each week.
In addition to the final week's honors, Eubank earned his first recognition during the first week of the conference recognition on Feb. 27.
Last week, as the Bobcats went 3-1, Eubank batted .625, going five for eight, with a double and a home run while scoring four times and driving in three. Eubank's slugging percentage for the week was 1.125. He also walked three times as he regained the top spot in the HAAC in both batting average (.449) and RBI (59).
Using the overall statistics for the season, Eubank is among the HAAC leaders in the following categories: first in batting average (.449), first in slugging percentage (.789), first in runs batted in per game (1.31), first in total runs batted in (59), first in triples per game (0.13), first in total bases per game (2.58), first in total bases (116), tied for first in total triples (6), tied for first in total hits (66), second in hits per game (1.47), third in runs scored per game (0.98), third in doubles per game (0.31), third in home runs per game (0.18), third in total home runs (8), tied for third in runs scored (44), tied for fourth in total doubles (14), 11th in at bats per game (3.27), and 19th in total at bats (147).
