Two Benedictine College students will spend a week in New York City with the Vatican's Ambassador to the United Nations.
Ian O’Hagan and Elise Griese have been chosen to represent the College at the Path to Peace Foundation's Catholic Social Teaching Seminar.
The Path to Peace Foundation, in conjunction with the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations, conducts an annual symposium for college students.
The Catholic Social Teaching Seminar usually takes place the week before Memorial Day.
This experience offers students an introduction to the Social Teaching of the Church in general and the work of the Holy See at the United Nations in particular.
Participants attend Mass every day and have an opportunity to visit the UN and meet Ambassadors and experts in international affairs.
Lodging each night and most of the lectures are at the Bishop Molloy Passionist Retreat House in New York City.
