The internet at Atchison County Community Schools next year will operate at a faster rate.
The USD 377 board Monday night approved to upgrade their contract with Centurylink from nine megabytes to 50 beginning next school year.
The board also tabled action on bus bids after the bids came in too high last month and were rejected.
Superintendent Steve Wiseman says the board was more satisfied with the bids this time around.

The board also accepted the resignation of Barb Gigstead as High School English teacher as well as a transfer of an elementary teacher into one of the open fourth grade positions.
Wiseman complimented Gigstead and says it will be tough to fill the shoes of English teacher.

The board also approved several student trips as well as granting access to allow use of the school buildings during holidays due to new technology upgrades that won’t require a staff member to be on duty for those events.
