It became official today (April 4th) at the Delaware Valley League meeting that eight teams will leave the league after the 2012-13 academic year, to form a league of their own.
The eight schools who officially submitted the paperwork and voted to leave the Delaware Valley League to form their own league are: Pleasant Ridge, Oskaloosa, Valley Falls, Maur-Hill Mount Academy, Immaculata, McLouth, Jackson Heights and Jefferson County North.
That leaves ACCHS, Horton, Doniphan West, Troy, Riverside and KC Christian as the remaining members of the Delaware Valley League after the next academic school year.
Future plans for the remaining six schools remain up in the air with many different scenarios. Doniphan West and Troy are schedule to have a special meeting with the Twin Valley League next Thursday, April 12th. ACCHS has been widely mentioned and thought to be seeking re-instatement in the Big 7 League, which they just left (along with MH-MA) two years ago.
