If you plan to visit any of the Nemaha NRD’s three major recreation areas this year, you might want to get your vehicle entry permit soon.
The permits are required for vehicles entering Kirkman’s Cove near Humboldt, Iron Horse Trail Lake near DuBois, and Wirth Brothers Lake north of Tecumseh.
The permits, which are valid through December 31st, may be purchased for a discounted rate of $10 through the end of March. The cost increases to $12 beginning April 1st.
Along with the original permit, you may also purchase one duplicate permit for an additional vehicle in your immediate family for six dollars.
Nemaha NRD park permits may be purchased at the Nemaha NRD’s office on Highway 136 just east of Tecumseh, or by contacting the NRD office at 402-335-3325. Permit applications can also be printed from the NRD’s web site and mailed along with payment, or you may also request an annual permit through the temporary permit envelopes available at each park’s main entrance.
Applications postmarked by March 31st will receive the discount.
