As the filing deadline approaches, more candidates have declared an interest in running for elective office in Nemaha County Nebraska.
Thomas D. Clark has filed to run for the 1st Ward Auburn City Council seat. Anthony Johnson has also filed to run for the position.
Brian Maher has filed to run for Mayor of Peru. Maher will challenge current Peru City Council member Jay Moran, who had previously filed for the position.
Non-incumbents have until 5:00 p.m. Thursday to file to have their names appear on the May 15th primary election ballot.
