A small, but informed and interested crowd, at Horton City Hall Saturday morning, where a legislative coffee forum was held.
Two state Republicans, Representative Randy Garber, of the 62nd district, and Senator Dennis Pyle, informed those in attendance of the latest happenings underway at the Statehouse in Topeka.
On Pyle's mind were the recent changes madeto a statute pertaining to dust concerns(Play Audio :29 seconds)
It's an amendment, added by Pyle, that brings about  accountability to those who raise a complaint(Play Audio :36 seconds)
Garber, meanwhile, was joined by Pyle in opposition to proposed legislation that would allow liquor to be sold at grocery, or other such places, and not, as the law currently stands, at liquor stores only(Play Audio :23 seconds)
Garber, and Pyle, also answered questions from constituents-including USD 430 School Board Member Roger Madere regarding proposed school finance changes-during the informal Saturday morning session.
