A 29-year-old Saint Joseph, Missouri man is wanted in the abuse of a 2-year-old child.
KQ2 News is reporting that a search warrant is issued for Ricky Wilson, Junior, charged with assault in the first degree.
Police were called to Saint Joseph's Heartland Regional Medical Center around 1:00 on the morning of January 18th regarding a possible case of child abuse.
The child was transported to Children's Mercy in Kansas City due to the injuries that were suspected to be consistent with child abuse.
Documents indicate the victim suffered from blunt force trauma, which left bruises and abrasions on his body, as well as a pancreatic transection.
KQ2 reports that Wilson had custody of the child when the injuries were discovered.
Wilson's bond is set at 50-thousand-dollars.
There's no current details available regarding the condition of the child.
