The Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education will interview the first of four finalists vying to become the district’s new superintendent today ( Tuesday).
Superintendent Dennis Stones said the interview will be conducted with Dr. Randy Freeman, current superintendent of schools at Silver Lake.
Stones said current Sabetha High School Principal Todd Evans will be interviewed Wednesday; Brian Rottinghaus, current Axtell High School Principal,onThursday and William Orth, current superintendent of schools at Osage City on Friday. Stones said each candidate will spend the day in the district, touring the district’s schools before having dinner with the board and being interviewed.
Stones says the board of education will then hold a special meeting on Monday to hire the new superintendent.
Stones is retiring at the end of the current school year.
