The flag that flew over the United States Capitol on day Atchison Police Seargent David Enzbrenner was killed is on display.
It’s hung on a newly constructed wooden wall near the front desk at the Atchison Police Department for a period of time on loan from Enzbrenner’s widow Carrie.
She was presented the flag from the Sergeant of Arms of the United States Senate shortly after his death.
Carrie also received the state flag of Kansas that flew at the state capitol on the day he died.
Enzbrenner was shot and killed by Skyler Barbee on December 9th while serving a nuisance order.
Barbee then turned the gun on himself shortly thereafter.
