Nebraska Foootball Head Coach Bo Pelini announced that 17 players signed letters of intent to accept scholarships to play football for the Huskers
today. 11 are expected to be defensive players and six on offense including quarterback Tommy Armstrong from Cibolo, Texas.
Pelini said the Husker coaches feel today's signings will make the team better.
In addition to the scholarship players, Pelini said 18 players have agreed to be walk-on's and that at least one more player is expected to
join the team as a walk-on.
Four of the players signed are linebackers. Coach Pelini said that this year a change was made in recruiting targets because of the move to
the Big 10 last year.
